The Master Locksmiths Association of Australasia (MLAA) has been the peak body of the locksmithing industry in Australia and New Zealand for more than 35 years. With over 700 Business Members and around 1000 Members in total, the MLAA is the biggest body of its kind in the Pacific region. The MLAA represents its members in trade, industry, education, and legislation. A Not-for-profit organisation, the MLAA owns and administers all content and assets of the Master Locksmiths Brand and is a proud promoter of the services and product of its Members towards the public. Members
The MLAA offers a variety of services to its Business Members, ranging from the provision of Restricted Keying Systems to organising local Security Audits, or providing workplace policies and guidelines.
Industry
The MLAA’s ownership of a number of trademarks and design registrations enables us to offer exclusive security solutions to our Members. Furthermore, the Association acts as a conduit between industry and manufacturers.
Public
As the trustee of the Master Locksmiths brand, we make sure that our Members meet the highest of standards so they are able to provide the very best service and most modern products to the wider public.
Government
For many years, the MLAA has been the main contact point for the Government and local councils. We provide services in three main areas: Quality Assurance, Public Accessibility and Qualified Feedback & Support.
Education
The MLAA works in two main areas, reviewing and influencing the curriculum used by TAFE (AU) and Competenz (NZ) and by partnering with education provider, assuring that our Members get access to business-related training.
Corporate
The MLAA is proud to be the knowledge base of the industry. The Association helps Corporates to identify opportunities and risks, and to plan security assets and their implementation.
