The Master Locksmiths Association is committed to maintaing the highest possible standards of skills in the industry by providing members with  a wide range of opportunities to maintain existing skills, learn new skills and to keep abreast of technological change.

The flagship event is the Annual Lock and Security Expo at which two full days of training in a variety of topics are provided.  Typically, several hundred members attend these sessions.

The Association has several Branches throughout Australia and in New Zealand.  A major responsibility of Branches is to provide local professional development and training opportunities for members in metropolitan and regional centres.

Recent Branch training initiatives included:

  • Business development coaching
  • Master keying
  • Tagging and testing
  • OHS Induction for the Construction Industry
  • New product demonstrations and training by suppliers
